Hello!
My name is Flore
Growing up in Ivory Coast, food was a central part of my family life. We love cooking, eating, and talking about food.
As a little girl I spent many delightful hours with my mom in the kitchen, baking up a storm. As I grew older baking became a pastime reserved for special occasions.
Then, in 2020, the pandemic hit, and everything changed. I turned to my mixer and started baking like never before. I discovered new recipes and fell back in love with old ones.
The Chocolate Tortoise is an expression of my love for baking. My goal is to create delectable treats that will leave a lasting impression. All the cookies Are made from scratch in small batches using the very best ingredients.
The Chocolate Tortoise has been operated in Lincoln, Nebraska, as a licensed cottage bakery since May 2020.
